Marvel movies’ toughest critic is back in town, but this time he’s got the gangs of New York backing him up. Martin Scorsese is set to destabilize Marvel’s TV economy by releasing a TV series set in the New York Gangs universe that will leave fans in disbelief.
Scorsese led the New York Gangs 2002 film starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Cameron Diaz and Liam Neeson. Although the actors will not return to the television screen, the series will leave everyone speechless.

The news was announced by Deadline in which they claimed parent company Miramax Television would make a series based on the 1927 book New York Gangs and will soon arrive on TV screens. The series is expected to bring Martin Scorsese on board as the show’s executive producer with possible hints of directing a few episodes!

Brett Leonard is set to serve as the screenwriter for the project and has yet to divulge any story plots or characters. According to the history books, Martin Scorsese is used to winning. HBO period drama Boardwalk Empire which followed after New York Gangs also had Martin Scorsese attached as executive producer.
