Rapper Yusif Issa Mcandersen popularly known as Kid Makan was born and raised at Effiakuma. He attended his basic education at Grant Methodist primary and continued in the same school for his three-year Junior High School Education.
He then again admission to Takoradi Technical Institute where he studied automotive engineering.
Yusif Issa Mcanderson or Kid Makan as he is known in the industry started this music thing when his best friend introduced a tutorial on how to write a song to him when he was in primary 6 and since then has been creating amazing songs for us to enjoy.
Kid Makan officially recorded his first demo during his days at Takoradi Technical Institute and surprisingly the song became the new campus hit song. Since then Kid Makan started recording songs for his friends on campus.
After completing Takoradi Technical Institute, Kid Makan then recorded his debut Song “Attention” which got a Nomination for Western Music Awards 17, the same year as its release.
From that year, he has released a lot of Songs, he then blessed us with his debut EP called AYEN. To date, he has more than 5 official music videos out and still working on more.
Kid Makan and his friends saw no help from labels towards upcoming artiste popularly known as an underground artiste, they started their own label called Big Brain Music Group (BBMG) under which they released a lot of songs and did a couple of collaborations, they later changed the name of the label to “The Coolest Youth” which is relevant Till Date.
Kid Makan is loved by a lot of people in Takoradi especially Effiakuma, his fan loves him most when he raps and his fashion style also heavily cherished by his fans.
